How to Walk in the Parade if You Don’t Have a Group… YET

You have never walked in the parade before and now feel this is the right year to start. You want to BE SEEN as a member of our vibrant community but are not part of any group. You want to BE HEARD but need the loudspeaker of an organization that can amplify your voice. You want to BE THERE, meet new friends, exchange ideas, and have fun. But you are alone.
Not any more! Check the list of contingents that already signed up for the Seattle Pride Parade on June 27 at http://www.seattlepride.org (click on “parade info”), and see what group, organization, association, sport team, church, or political faction represents your views, feelings or positions. Find their contact information in their websites, and check directly with them if you can join their walk or add glam to their floats. Your company might also be represented at the parade, so find out if there is a GLBTQ group, and join it. This is the time to get out there and meet new friends! This is your time to BE SEEN! BE HEARD! BE THERE!
